The Right Reverend Roger Bowen Weld, ordained to the ministry of the Second Advent Church in 1977, holds a seat on the Sacred Oversee of the Church.
        Rev. Weld was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts and began studies in business management at Greenfield Community College. While still seventeen years of age he became disenchanted with his situation and decided to serve a tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era where he was trained as a microwave radio technician. During this time he realized his desire to serve humanity by pursing a spiritual destiny. Rev. Weld moved to Reno, Nevada in 1977 to complete seminary studies at the Jamilian University. He also studied journalism at University of Nevada, Reno.
        For the International Community of Christ, Rev. Weld has served as Director of the Departments of Production, Advertising, Photography, and the Jamilian University Press. His complete biography can be found in Marquis' Who's Who in America, and other Marquis publications. Rev. Weld has also taught elementary level History, also middle and high school level Chemistry classes at the Church's Jamilian Parochial School.
        He has served as Executive Secretary, Vice- President and is currently Vice-Commodore for the Andean Explorers Foundation & Ocean Sailing Club. For over twenty-five years, he has been involved in various video documentary productions and numerous expeditions to foreign lands with that organization.
        In 1998 he wrote "A Steamboat in the Desert: A History of Steamboat Springs, Nevada."
