COUNCILS

Neither legislators nor attorneys nor courts can give meaning to the constitutional clause respecting religion without understanding the nature of religion. Therefore, religious organizations have an obligation to serve the public interest through education. Therefore, the Advocates for Religious Rights & Freedoms is not a traditional civil rights organization or social action group. The organization as a whole focuses its efforts on education and public information to promote awareness on issues and questions that affect the religious and spiritual rights and freedoms of all Americans. Through its various divisions, the Advocates monitor legislation, judicial decisions and political and religious movements that would affect the separation of Church and State, freedom of religion and worship for all, the status and roll of clergymen and clergywomen, and the fundamental God-granted right of all persons to freely pursue their spiritual heritage.
